The Tar Heels had hopes of going into Cameron and upsetting the number one Duke Blue Devils – like they did at the Dean Dome a month ago. But Saturday’s season finale didn’t end with a thrilling buzzer beater, instead UNC was beaten by 15 after Duke dominated the second half.
When asked after the game about the loss, big man Henri Veesaar said his team simply didn’t fight back.
“I feel like today we were flat in the second half. Once they went on that run and kind of punched us, we didn’t fight back. We just folded.”
