In unfortunate news, it was announced that former Carolina Panthers and current Baltimore Ravens receiver Steve Smith suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
After the new was released, Smith tweeted this.

The picture in this tweet says a lot. Â Ever since Smith was unceremoniously cut from the Panthers, he’s been on one big “F You Carolina” campaign and justifiably so. Â After his contribution to the team and the city, Smith deserved more. Â I think that message rings loud and clear in this picture. Â Steve considered the Panthers organization family and they showed him no loyalty. Â Eventually, the Panthers will have to make things right.
The question now is if the 36 year old veteran will return next season. Â If I had to guess based on this tweet, I’d say no, but you’d hate to see Smith end such a great career like this.
