The College Football Playoff Committee released their first rankings today and to no one’s surprise the SEC reigned supreme, but how did the schools with Carolina connections do?
Three Carolina Schools: Clemson at 21, East Carolina at 23 and Duke at 24, cracked the top 25. Noticeably missing was South Carolina, who have disappointed after entering the season with high expectations.
Other Notes:
- Despite staying embroiled in controversy, FSU was ranked #2.
- The SEC West had 4 schools in the top 5
The playoff committee will meet on a weekly basis and release updated rankings every Tuesday.
