My roots are in Orangeburg, SC. I’ve been marching along side my family to have the Confederate flag removed since I was a child. I applaud this day, but I am keenly aware that it’s 150 years too late and it took such a tragic event for the state to do what is right. This is only a small victory. Don’t get complacent with it. Continue to fight and demand for justice in America.
