Photos: UConn Runs Duke Off the Road to the Final Four

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Duke men’s basketball’s season came to an end Sunday night after losing 73-72 in heart-breaking-this-is-march fashion to the UCONN Huskies in the Elite Eight round of the men’s NCAA Tournament.

After a made free throw by UCONN’s Silas Demary Jr. and bad pass turnover by Duke’s Cayden Boozer, Braylon Mullins nails a long three-pointer to take the lead and the win with 0.4 remaining. Duke unable to score on the final possession, in part to another Cayden Boozer turnover (tipped pass over two defenders), left the court for the final time this season.

Duke not only controlled much of the first half but they also led by as many as 19 points in the opening half. Cameron Boozer led all scorers with 27 points and now sports a swollen right eye. Tarris Reed Jr. led UCONN with 26 points. Check out photos from the game.
