Virginia Stifles North Carolina State, 81-74

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The 7th-seeded North Carolina State men’s basketball opened and exited day three of the tournament in a 81-74 loss to No. 2 Virginia. Unlike their previous two matchups against the Cavaliers, the Wolfpack brought the game within four points in the remaining 27 seconds, courtesy of a second chance three-pointer by Paul McNeil Jr. McNeil led all scorers with 26 points, nailing six three-pointers on 11 attempts.

Duke knocks off Florida State 80-79 to advance to Semifinals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Isaiah Evans’s 32-point career night helped the Duke Blue Devils squeak out a 80-79 win over Florida State in Thursday’s quarterfinal of the ACC tournament. Cameron Boozer added 23 points. Pat Ngongba II and Caleb Foster were both out due to lower leg injuries.

Clemson Stuns North Carolina, 80-79

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina cut an 18-point deficit and fought back with five three-pointers in the final five minutes but were unable to take down Clemson on Thursday night. The Tigers won 80-79. Henri Veesaar logged 28 points and 17 rebounds in the contest. Two of his three three-pointers came in under a minute and a half of play. Clemson’s Nick Davidson gave a 17-point and 11 rebound effort off of the bench.
