Amidst Texas A&M Reports, Duke’s Mike Elko says Durham is Home (Video)

Duke head football coach Mike Elko, during Monday’s weekly presser, addressed reports that his name is being linked to the new vacated head coaching job at Texas A&M.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel listed Mike Elko as a potential candidate to replace former head coach Jimbo Fisher, among other notable candidates such as Lane Kiffen, Dan Lanning and Kliff Kingsbury.

Mike Elko quickly shot down the rumors.

“I’m committed to this place. Everyone knows I’m very happy with this place. My family is very happy here. We love Duke and we love everything this place is for. When you’re doing your job well, everyone thinks you’re leaving. When you’re doing your job bad, everyone thinks your leaving”

In back to back seasons Coach Mike Elko has Duke bowl bound – changing the culture and shifting the identity. Other administrations around the country are noticing with hopes of landing a leader of men.
