5-star small forward Mark Mitchell (10th by 24/7 sports), #3 overall SF, announced he will be taking his talents to Duke University to join the brotherhood alongside fellow All Americans, Dereck Lively, Dariq Whitehead, Kyle Filipowski, and Jaden Schutt which gives Jon Scheyer unanimously the number 1 recruiting class in just his first season at helm of Duke basketball.
The 6’8, 205 pound 2022 5-star announced his decision to join Duke over fellow power five schools Missouri and UCLA.
Mark Mitchell who was in attendance for Countdown to Craziness, stated that his relationship with Scheyer was a key in him joining the brotherhood.
“I think the relationship that I have with coach Scheyer, we’ve developed a great relationship. Scheyer and Coach Chris Carrawell are really close to my family, and the last visit was good too”

The skill set Mitchell’s brings to Duke is his athletic ability, quick first step and overall feel of the game on both sides of the ball. He’s a defensive pest and gifted ability to sky above the rim – attacking the paint consistently. He’s unafraid of contact and can defend multiple positions. Mark plays with a high motor, and lives around the basket.
