The 2021-22 Duke men’s basketball team will debut Friday night when the program hosts Countdown to Craziness at Cameron Indoor Stadium, marking the first basketball event at Cameron with fans since March 2020.
Countdown to Craziness features a night of entertainment, games, engaging videos and on-court contests all leading up to the introduction of the 2021-22 Blue Devils, the unveiling of this season’s team poster and the annual Blue-White scrimmage.
The festivities begin at 4 p.m. in Krzyzewskiville, adjacent to Cameron Indoor Stadium, where fans can enjoy various activities, music and games. Doors to Cameron open at 6 p.m., and the annual Blue-White scrimmage is set to tip off at approximately 8:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to alleviate congestion at the main entrances.
Countdown to Craziness will broadcast live on ACCNX with David Shumate and John Roth providing commentary and analysis, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Live coverage can also be heard across the Blue Devil Sports Network from Learfield.
Duke Athletics announced health and safety protocols for men’s and women’s basketball events at Cameron Indoor Stadium, that will start with Countdown to Craziness. Details on requirements for entry to Cameron, including all guests wearing a mask and presenting proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result within 72 hours, can be found here.
Duke opens the regular season versus Kentucky at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the State Farm Champions Classic. Prior to the start of the regular season, Duke hosts Winston-Salem State in an exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m.
