The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that the Duke at Florida State men’s basketball game has been postponed. The game was scheduled to be played on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

The postponement follows a positive test, subsequent quarantining, and contact tracing with the Florida State men’s basketball program. The team is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com (full report).

No. 20 Duke (3-2, 1-0) has already had five games canceled or postponed a total of six times this season due to COVID-19. The Blue Devils’ season-opener versus Gardner-Webb was initially postponed due to virus issues at GWU. The game was later rescheduled for Dec. 19 and eventually canceled by Duke. Duke’s games versus Elon (Dec. 6) and Charleston Southern (Dec. 12) were each postponed due to virus issues with those programs and won’t be rescheduled.

The latest impacts came this week when Tuesday’s game versus Pitt was postponed due to COVID issues at Pitt, along with tomorrow’s game at FSU. Rescheduled dates for the ACC games have not been announced.
