For the second year in a row, Santa Cam went around spreading holiday cheer to children and fans in the Charlotte area. On the team’s off-day, Newton along with a few teammates and special guests made four surprise stops around the Queen City delivery desserts, taking pictures and having a weight lifting contest.

Donning a Santa Dabbin sweater courtesy of rapper 2 Chainz, Newton along with fellow quarterbacks Derek Anderson and Joe Webb served dessert to students and teachers at the Metro School, treated 25 children to a shopping spree at Dick’s Sporting Goods, dropped in on the Roaring Riot’s (an organization of Carolina fans who travel to away games together) appreciation party and delivered a $7,500 check to Harding High School to fund a new weight room with comedian Kevin Hart and actor Ice Cube.

Growing up as a kid, Newton says he never got to meet star football players because they weren’t accessible. It’s great that he’s helping to change the standard with how active he is in the community.
