The Carolina Panthers haven’t lost a regular season game since December 7, 2014. On that day they defeated the New Orleans Saints, 41-10 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. After the win, local musicians, Bino P, Q Dot and Dee Mills, better known as Open Minds, recorded a video for the song “Home Team” which payed homage to their favorite squad. The Panthers haven’t lost a game since.
“It’s been like a good luck charm since we made the song…Me, I’ve always been envious of Pittsburgh; they’ve got the ‘black-and-yellow, black-and-yellow, black-and-yellow…I grew up a Panthers fan, so I go all the way back to Jake Delhomme, Rodney Peete, Chris Weinke. I love the Panthers.” said Bino P, a 22-year-old graduate of Olympic High School.
“That was one of the most organic things we’ve ever done,” added Q Dot, 21. “We went in front of the stadium and we did our thing.”
Bino P and Q Dot are both graduates of Olympic High School.
The song is dope and goes along well with the Panthers current undefeated record. Move over Wiz Kalifah and Black and Yellow, it’s time for the Panthers, Open Minds and “Home Team,” so get some shine.
