The start of Marcus Paige’s senior season at Chapel Hill has been delayed due to a hand injury and the Tar Heels, who shockingly loss to the University of Northern Iowa, could use their floor general now more than ever.
In a recent interview, Paige said he expects to be on the floor when his team faces 2nd ranked Maryland.
“If it was up to me, I’d be playing tomorrow,” Paige said after the game. “But it’s not up to me. It’s up to the people above me. I’m trying to be patient with it. As soon as I get a couple more practices under my belt, I’ll be fine.”
“I would say it’s in the 90s (percentage) that I do play,” Paige said. “It would be very tough for me not to be out on that court.”
This would be a perfect game to make his senior debut. Â The Tar Heels play the Terps on December 1st.
