After months of speculation, it’s finally official. The Charlotte Hornets will host the 2017 NBA All-Star game.

The winning of the bid comes along with an agreement to make $40 million in improvements to the Time Warner Cable arena.
Commissioner Adam Silver is expected to make a formal announcement Tuesday.
The structure of Charlotte makes it a great place to hold an event like this and you can expect Michael Jordan to want to put on a show for All-Star Weekend as an owner. Next year’s game will be held in Toronto.
