The selection committee had to decide between Duke and Virginia for one of the coveted top seeds in this year’s NCAA Tournament. In the end, they decided that since neither made the ACC Tournament final and given the outcome of their lone head-to-head match-up this season, that Duke would be awarded the top seed in the South region.

The Blue Devils will take on winner of the play-in game between North Florida and Robert Morris – Friday in Charlotte.
