Meet Our Team

Vashti L. Hurt
Founder & Editor-In-Chief

My life-long passion and enthusiasm for athletics led me to leave a career in investment banking to make sports journalism my life’s work.

I find fresh and compelling new stories in and outside traditional sports reporting and share them with readers and listeners in a way that is entertaining and fun. I analyze and report on events that provoke widespread interest with a sports knowledge that is vast and refreshing. I take pride in not keeping up with the trends, but setting them.

I am Founder and Editor & Chief of CarolinaBlitz.com – a website dedicated to providing sports information across North and South Carolina. I host Carolina Blitz the Radio Show, Saturday mornings at 10:30 on ESPN 730 The Game. I also co-host the Quick Blitz podcast on the Riot Network and make regular appearances on other sports radio shows.

“Life-Long Sports Lover, Self-Proclaimed Trash-Talker, Part-Time Tom Boy and Full-Time Woman – That’s me!”
