The Duke Blue Devils have moved up three spots to 6th, and the UNC Tar Heels rose two spots to 14th in this week’s AP Top 25 college basketball poll. The movement comes after several upsets last week, including previously 4th-ranked Virginia falling to San Francisco and previously 10th-ranked Kentucky losing to Richmond.
The Blue Devils defeated Coppin State 81-71 in their season opener. The Tar Heels defeated College of Charleston 79-60 in their first game.
UNC is scheduled to take on UNLV Monday, in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Camping World Maui Invitational. Duke will take on 8th ranked Michigan State Tuesday, in the State Farm Champions Classic.
