Ahead of Sunday’s final cut deadline the Carolina Panthers added more experience to their linebacker room – agreeing to terms with eight-year veteran Bobby Okereke.
Okereke was selected by the Colts in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft and spent his first three years in Indianapolis before signing a four-year contract with the Giants in 2023. While in New York Okereke started in 46 games, amassing 385 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 4 interceptions and 7 forced fumbles. He was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week during week 18 of last season for his two turnovers that lead to 10 points in a Giants win over the Dallas Cowboys.
New York released him in March of this year.
