Carolina Panthers head coach, Dave Canales, announced after the team’s joint practice with the Houston Texans that starters will not play in the final preseason game.
Canales said he and Houston head coach, DeMeco Ryans, discussed the plan ahead of Wednesday’s session.
“We will not play the starters,” Canales said when we asked what his plan for Friday will be. “DeMeco and I talked about that last night and decided that with the amount of work that we were going to give them this practice – the starters took about 75% of the snaps – with the twos and threes getting a little bit of work just to make sure their bodies are moving and they’re in the rhythm of it.”
The Panthers vs Texans final preseason game will kickoff at Bank of America Stadium Friday night at 7:30pm.
