Despite what everyone thought, based on Key & Peele’s “Hingle McCringleberry” popular skit, the NFL does not allow two-pump touchdown celebrations.
During the Panthers’ 16-13 week nine win over the Green Bay Packers, running back Rico Dowdle celebrated his 3rd quarter touchdown with a two-pump celebration.
After the game Dowdle said he didn’t expect a penalty flag for the celebration, but he really hoped the NFL didn’t fine him. Wednesday there was a letter waiting for him at his locker – at $14,000 hit for two pumps. Rico is using the fine and exposure for good. He’s started a GoFundMe to benefit a local charity.
“After much thought I’ve launched a GoFundMe for my fines. Key said I got three pumps but I guess the NFL disagrees
