2024: Ransom played in 55 games and started 37 times over the course of four seasons. He is among only a handful of Buckeyes to have earned five Varsity O letters, from 2020 through the 2024 season. He came back from injury twice to star for Ohio State the following season. He was a standout performer on Ohio State’s 2024 national championship team, ranking fourth on the team with 76 tackles and fourth with nine tackles-for-loss and earning fi rst-team all-Big Ten Conference honors. His senior season included three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, one interception (vs. Purdue) and two pass break-ups. For his career, he was one of the most disruptive defensive players with six forced fumbles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries for 11 such plays. Also had 228 career tackles, 16.5 tackles-for-loss and 17 passes defended (three interceptions; 14 pass break-ups).
2022-2023: Named honorable mention all-Big Ten by the league’s coaches and media in both 2022 and 2023. Had a 2022 campaign when he played in 12 of the 13 games, started nine games and was a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award. Ranked third on the team in tackles in 2022 with 74. 2022 stats also included 3.5 tackles-for-loss (-22 yards), an interception (vs. Michigan State), three pass break-ups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. A valuable special teams performer in 2022 as well with two blocked punts: vs. Indiana and Maryland. Recorded a career high 11 tackles (eight solos) vs. Rutgers and had 10 tackles vs. Indiana and eight vs. both Northwestern and Georgia.

Was 2nd on the team in receptions (58), 3rd in receiving yards (567) and led Colorado in receiving touchdowns (6). Season and career-high 11 receptions against TCU in his debut as a Buff.
