Two former Alabama standouts, Bryce Young and Jalen Hurts, faced each other for the first time Sunday when the Carolina Panthers played the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. And although the Young-led Panthers were ultimately defeated 22-16, Hurts had nothing but good things to say about Bryce and conveyed those positive thoughts to him during their postgame handshake.
“I just love how he’s been able to persevere through some of the things that he’s been faced with,” Hurts said when asked what he told Bryce. “And seeing him comfortable out there and playing the way he’s playing. So that’s encouraging for him, and you know, I always support him and wish him nothing but the best in that.”
Bryce Young finished the game completing 19 of 34 passes for 191 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.
