Queen City tennis lovers got a treat Friday night when some of the top players in the sport played in Charlotte Invitational. The double header featured Madison Keys taking on Sloan Stephens and Carlos Alcaraz battling Frances Tiafoe.
During the exhibition players grabbed fans from the stands to take the court and volley against the best. One of those fans was Panthers’ legend Steve Smith, who looked impressive against Alcaraz – the 3rd ranked player in the world and defending Wimbledon champion.
Current Panthers’ quarterback Any Dalton, who is an avid tennis player, also got in on the action.
