For the first time in franchise history, the Carolina Panthers will head to Germany to take on the New York Giants at Allianz Arena in Munich. This will mark the team’s second international game, as the Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 37-26, in London during the 2019 season. This will be the NFL’s fourth regular-season game in Germany and just the second in Munich.

This will mark the 13th regular season match up between the two NFC teams, with the series tied 6-6. The two met in the postseason once, with the Panthers defeating the Giants, 23-0, in the 2005 Wild Card round.

The Panthers enter the contest with a 2-7 record after defeating the New Orleans Saints at home, 23-22. Carolina led a game-winning drive in the final minutes of the game, capped off by a 16-yard run by RB Chuba Hubbard. The defense held strong, with CB Mike Jackson credited with a pass defensed on fourth down to end any Saints hopes of a comeback.

New York (2-7) heads across the pond having lost four consecutive games, most recently at the hands of the Washington Commanders at home, 27-22. The Giants last win came in Week Five at the Seattle Seahawks, 29-20.
