The Carolina Panthers may be without two staples along the offensive line in Sunday’s matchup against Cincinnati.
Right guard Damien Lewis has been ruled OUT of the game with a elbow injury and left guard Robert Hunt is questionable with a hip injury.
Lewis hurt his elbow in the second half of the Panthers’ week three win at Las Vegas. While he isn’t expected to be out an extended period, it was severe enough to sideline him this week.
According to head coach Dave Canales, something in Hunt’s hip gave him pause at the beginning of Friday’s practice. He left with trainers and will be reevaluated over the next couple of days.
Chandler Zavala will start in place of Damien Lewis. Brady Christensen will start in the event Hunt is unable to go.
In addition to Lewis and Hunt, Lonnie Johnson (hip) and Shy Tuttle (foot) have also been ruled OUT.
Dionte Johnson and A’Shawn Robinson are listed as questionable, but Johnson is expected to play.
