The NC State men’s basketball program announced its full 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday night.
The reigning ACC Champions will play 31 regular season games, including 20 conference contests. The Pack will play 18 home games; 17 at the Lenovo Center and its annual Heritage Game at Reynolds Coliseum.
Wolfpack Nation will get its first look at the men’s and women’s basketball teams with their annual Primetime With The Pack event on Friday, Oct. 25. More information about the event will be released the first week of October.
NC State will open the 2024-25 regular season with a home contest against USC Upstate at the Lenovo Center on Monday, Nov. 4. In a pregame ceremony prior to the game against the Spartans, NC State will raise two new banners to the rafters, commemorating last season’s ACC Tournament Championship and Final Four berth.
The USC Upstate game is the first of five non-conference home games to start the season. The Pack will hit the road for the first time when it travels across the country to San Diego to play in the two-day Rady Children’s Invitational. NC State will face Purdue in a rematch of last year’s Final Four game on Thanksgiving Day and will then face either BYU or Ole Miss the next day.
The Pack will start December with three straight home games, hosting Texas on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the ACC/SEC Challenge before opening ACC play with a game against Florida State on Saturday, Dec. 7. NC State will complete the mini-homestand when it welcomes Coppin State to Reynolds Coliseum in the program’s annual Heritage Game.
The Pack will close the non-conference portion of its schedule with a trip to play at Kansas on Saturday, Dec. 14 before hosting Rider on Sunday, Dec. 22.
NC State will then turn its attention ACC play as its final 19 regular season games are all conference contests.
The 2024-25 is the first of a new scheduling model for ACC teams.
– (4 games total) Each ACC team will play home-and-away versus each of the school’s two current partners. NC State’s current partners are North Carolina and Wake Forest
– (2 games total) One repeat opponent where teams will play home-and-away against each other. NC State’s repeat opponent this season is California.
– The remaining 14 conference games consist of seven home-only opponents and seven away-only opponents. NC State’s home-only opponents this season are Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and SMU. The Pack’s away-only opponents are Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
After an eight-day break from the last non-conference game, the Pack ends the 2024 year with a New Year’s Eve battle at Virginia. NC State opens January with a trip to Winston-Salem to play Wake Forest on Saturday, Dec. 4.
After the battle against the Demon Deacons, NC State starts a stretch where four of its next five games are at home. NC State will host Notre Dame on Wednesday, Jan. 8 before facing rival North Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 11. After a road trip to Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 15, the Pack returns home to host ACC newcomers California (Saturday, Jan. 18) and SMU (Saturday, Jan. 25).
NC State will be back in action 48 hours after it hosts SMU as it’ll travel to Durham for a Big Monday matchup on ESPN against Duke on Jan. 27.
After hosting Clemson on Saturday, Feb. 1, NC State makes its second trip to California of the season, this time hitting the northern part of the state when it travels for games at Cal (Wednesday, Feb. 5) and Stanford (Saturday, Feb. 8).
The Wolfpack will then return home for three of its next four games, hosting Louisville (Wednesday, Feb. 12) and Boston College (Saturday, Feb. 15) at the Lenovo Center before traveling to Chapel Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 19 for a game at UNC. The Pack will then return home to host Wake Forest on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Pack closes the regular season with three of its last four games on the road. NC State will travel to Syracuse for a game on Wednesday, Feb. 26 and then to Atlanta for a game at Georgia Tech on Saturday, March 1. The Pack will host its final regular season home game on Wednesday, March 5 when Pitt visits the Lenovo Center before closing the regular season on Saturday, March 8 at Miami.
