UNC announced Friday afternoon that quarterback Max Johnson, who started in the team’s opener against Minnesota, will be sidelined the remainder of the season after breaking his leg during the in the 3rd quarter of the Tar Heels’ 19-17 win.
Johnson, who underwent successful surgery in Minneapolis to repair a broken right leg, will return to Chapel Hill in a few days and is expected to make a full recovery.
