Dozens of Scouts Set to Attend UNC’s Pro Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –– On Thursday, the North Carolina football program will welcome dozens of NFL personnel to the Koman Indoor Complex for Pro Day.

While the NFL Combine is by invitation-only, pro days serve as a way for prospects to measure their skills in front of, and interview, with NFL coaches and evaluators prior to the draft.
The events will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will include the following testing drills:

  1. 40-yard dash
  2. Vertical Jump
  3. Broad Jump
  4. Pro Agility
  5. 3-Cone
  6. Position Drills
    a. QB/WR/RB (Passing Drills
    b. ILB/OLB
    c. OL/RB
    d. DL/OLB
    e. DB
    f. LS
  7. Bench Press

And a good handful of alum and former Tar Heels will also be participating, as the draft draws closer beginning on April 25th in Detroit.

Former Tar Heels returning for the action include: Chris Collins (Minnesota), Beau Corrales (Texas State), Dae Dae Hollins (UNC Charlotte) and Emery Simmons (Indiana University).

This pro day will be stacked with scouts as many will be traveling to see former quarterback Drake Maye, who chose not to do on-field work at the combine earlier this month. He, as well as, other high-ranked guys like Tez Walker, Myles Murphy and Cedric Gray will be receiving the bulk of the attention, but other guys are bound to show out as well.
