Carolina returns home in Week 2 to take on another NFC South foe, the New Orleans Saints, part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football doubleheader.
This will mark the 58th matchup between the two teams. The Panthers have faced the Saints more than any other opponent in franchise history. New Orleans currently holds the all-time series record, 29-28.
The last time Carolina played on a Monday night was against New Orleans in Week 15 of the 2018 season (New Orleans won 12-9).
The Panthers enter the contest with a 10-7 overall record on Monday Night Football, including a 7-4 record at home.
New Orleans travels to Charlotte with a season opening win against the Tennessee Titans, 16-15, in Caesars Superdome.

- Outside Linebacker Brian Burns finished the game with seven tackles (four solo), 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one quarterback hit. Burns recorded his third-career game of tallying at least 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble and his first since Week 12 of the 2022 season against the Denver Broncos.
- Tight end Hayden Hurst tallied the first touchdown of the season for the Panthers on a 4-yard reception from quarterback Bryce Young. Hurst led the team in receiving with five receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown.
- Defensive end Derrick Brown recorded a 13-yard sack on Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder in the second quarter, his first full sack since Week 7 of the 2021 season against the New York Giants. Brown ended the day with nine tackles (eight solo), one sack, one QB hit and two tackles for loss.
- Quarterback Bryce Young was six-for-six on his firstcareer scoring drive. The 12-play, 75-yard drive was capped off by a 4-yard touchdown pass to tight end Hayden Hurst.
- The Panthers held Atlanta to zero net passing yards in the first half, the third-lowest total allowed by the team in a first half in franchise history.

- In week one Cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo and safety Marcus Maye all intercepted Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill, while all three levels of the unit held him to a career-low 28.8 passer rating.
- Linebacker Demario Davis led the team with ten tackles, while defensive end Carl Granderson contributed 1.5 sacks and four stops.
- Against the Titans Derek Carr threw for 305 yards, including a 41-yard strike to Rashid Shaheed, who had a career-high 216 all-purpose yards, with under two
minutes left.
- Wide receiver Chris Olave finished with eight receptions for 112 yards,
including team-long 45-yard grab. Michael Thomas hauled in five passes for 61 yards.
