Carolina Panthers to Hold Joint Practice with Daniel High School

Head Coach Frank Reich and the Carolina Panthers will welcome South Carolina football power Daniel Lions High School (Central, S.C.) for a unique joint training camp practice on Tuesday, August 8, at Wofford College.

Daniel High School coaches and players will embed with the Panthers during pre-practice warm-ups. Teams will then hold their regularly-scheduled practices on adjoining fields before returning together for post-practice messages from Panthers head coach Frank Reich and Daniel HS head coach Jeff Fruster.  Fruster earned the Carolina Panthers High School Coach of the Year award in 2021 and was nominated for the NFL’s Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award.  The one-of-a-kind practice is part of the Panthers and NFL’s Play Football Month initiative, which celebrates the game of football played at the grassroots level. Panthers defensive end DeShawn Williams is a Daniel High School graduate.

“The Carolina Panthers are strong supporters of the many forms of football played at the grassroots level,” said Panthers head coach Frank Reich. “The opportunity to share this experience with Daniel High School provides a unique way to celebrate the important role high school football plays in communities across our region.”

Tuesday’s joint practice starts at 10:15 am.
