After two years in Carolina, free agent quarterback Sam Darnold is taking his talents to The Bay. Monday afternoon, Adam Schefter reported Darnold agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers. Terms of the contract have not been released.
It was speculated that the Panthers may want to resign Darnold to serve as a bridge/mentor for whoever the team drafts at quarterback.
