NC State fell to Clemson, 80-54, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. Now, the Wolfpack will have to wait until Sunday to learn their NCAA Tournament fate. Some projections have them safely in, while others have them on the bubble. But if you ask head coach Kevin Keatts, his team has done enough to dance.
“We’ve got a pretty doggone good resume,” Keatts said when asked about selection Sunday. “Typically when you look at resumes and the past, one of the things you look at is your strength of schedule and I think we’ve got a really good strength of schedule. Our non-conference strength of schedule won’t hurt us. We don’t have any bad losses. We’ve got some really good wins, and when you look at us and this league we’re 12-8 and won 23 games overall. I think we’ve put ourselves, if you compare our resume to a lot of teams, in a good situation. I do feel favorable for us, absolutely.
As of this morning the 23-10 Wolfpack have a net ranking of 45, which is right on the cusp of where they need to be to feel comfortable with an automatic bid. All questions will be answered Sunday afternoon.
