Former Panthers Players React to the Death of Jerry Richardson

The family of Carolina Panthers’ founder and former owner Jerry Richardson, announced his passing with the following release:

“Jerome Johnson Richardson, founding owner of The Carolina Panthers NFL franchise, business leader and philanthropist, died peacefully last night at his Charlotte home, according to his family. He was 86.

Funeral services will be private. A public celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Details to follow.”

After the announcement, condolences began to pour in:

A Carolina native, Richardson owned the Panthers from 1995 – 2018.
