In its regular-season home finale, Duke puts both a four-game winning streak and a 15-game home winning streak on the line Tuesday night versus NC State at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils (21-8, 12-6) are looking to even the series versus the Wolfpack (22-8, 12-7) and cap the program’s 19th undefeated home season at Cameron Indoor and first since 2014.
Tuesday is a battle of the ACC’s second-ranked scoring offense vs. the ACC’s second-ranked scoring defense. NC State is second in the ACC in scoring – averaging 78.7 points per game, while Duke is only allowing 63.9 points per game.
About Duke
- Over its four-game winning streak, Duke is shooting .507 from the field and .395 from three-point range with an assist-turnover ratio of 2.1-to-1. Duke’s 76 assists over the last four games (since Feb. 14) are the third most among power conference teams.
- Duke has held 25 of 29 opponents below their season scoring average (21-4 in those games).
- The Blue Devils are second in the conference in scoring defense (63.9), second in three-point field goal defense (.311) and second in field goal defense (.414).
- Emerging as one of the nation’s top on-ball defenders, freshman Tyrese Proctor has climbed to the 92nd percentile defensively as opposing players are shooting just .308 from the field and .292 from three when primarily defended by him.
- Fresh of his first career double-double and a career-high 11 assists, junior Jeremy Roach is averaging 14.4 points in 11 games since returning from injury. In that span, Roach has two 20-point games and his 19-11 vs. VT while shooting .496 (63-of-127) from the field.
- Freshman Kyle Filipowski, the eight-time ACC Rookie of the Week, leads all conference freshmen in rebounding and double-doubles. His 12 double-doubles are the most by any freshman nationally, while his 8.9 rebounds lead all power conference freshmen.
- The balanced Blue Devils have had all five starters score in double figures in consecutive games for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Duke leads the ACC in bench scoring at 20.2 points per game, with six players on the roster averaging at least 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds.
- Head coach Jon Scheyer holds the ACC record for longest home court winning streak by a first-year coach. Scheyer also holds the Duke record for most wins by a first-year coach.
- Duke is 13-1 with its full scholarship roster available, including wins over Xavier, Iowa, Ohio State, Miami, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Virginia Tech. The loss was in overtime at Virginia.

- Pick your poison with the Pack’s scoring trio: Terquavion Smith (17.2 ppg.), Jarkel Joiner (16.8 ppg.) and DJ Burns (16.2) combine to score 50 points per game for NC State in ACC play.
- In the Pack’s 19 ACC games, one of the three players has led NC State in scoring in every game. Smith has led the team in scoring eight times and Joiner and Burns have led the in scoring six times (Burns & Joiner tied for team-high scoring honors at Syracuse). The Pack is 11-3 in league play when all three players score in double figures.
- With a win on Tuesday night NC State would finish with a 5-1 record against the Big Four (Duke, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest). NC State is 4-1 against the Big Four this season, while Duke is 2-2, North Carolina is 2-3 and Wake Forest is 2-4.
- NC State continues to lead the ACC in turnover margin (+3.9), forcing turnovers (13.5) and steals (8.2). In the first meeting between the two teams, NC State forced Duke into 22 turnovers (tied for the most by an NC State opponent this season) and finished +16 in turnover margin.

In the earlier meeting this season against Duke, NC State outscored the Blue Devils, 29-7, in fast break points. The Pack is 19-4 this season if it has double-digit fast break points, but just 3-4 if it has less than 10 fast break points.
- NC State continues to rank among the nation’s leaders in fewest turnovers per game. The Pack averages just 9.6 turnovers per game to rank sixth in NCAA DI. Twice this season NC State has had just two turnovers in a game. NC State is 21-3 this season when it has the same number or fewer turnovers than its opponent.
- The Pack ranks second in the ACC and 25th in NCAA DI in blocked shots per game despite not having a single player rank in the top-15 in the ACC in blocks. Ernest Ross leads the team with 27 blocks, but DJ Burns (26), Casey Morsell (22) and Ebenezer Dowuona (21) are right behind him.
- NC State has allowed only scored fewer than 70 points four times this season and is 0-4 in those games. The Pack is 22-4 this season if it scores 70 or more points.
Duke vs NC State
- Tuesday’s game in Durham marks the 254th all-time meeting between Duke and NC State, with the Blue Devils looking for their 151st win in the series.
- Duke leads the all-time series, 150-103, and has won three straight at home in the series where it is 66-30 all-time (53-26 at Cameron Indoor).
- The Blue Devils are looking to even the season series after falling at PNC Arena in Raleigh on Jan. 4.
- NC State is Duke’s third most-frequently played opponent behind Wake Forest (259 games) and North Carolina (259).
- Kevin Keatts has a 3-4 record against Duke as head coach of NC State, but is 0-3 against the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
