The Tar Heels travel to Raleigh to play 23rd-ranked NC State on Sunday, February 19, at 1 p.m. Carolina is 16-10 overall, 8-7 and ninth in the ACC, while the Wolfpack is 20-7 overall, 10-6 and fifth in the ACC. Both teams are coming off losses. Miami
defeated UNC, 80-72, in the Smith Center on February 13; the Pack lost, 75-72, at
Syracuse a night later.
Carolina defeated NC State, 80-69, in Chapel Hill on January 21 behind RJ Davis’ 26 points and Armando Bacot’s 23 points and 18 rebounds.
The Tar Heels are 2-6 on the road this season, 2-5 in ACC play with wins at Louisville and Syracuse. The Wolfpack is 13-1 at the PNC Arena this season with its lone loss against Pittsburgh on December 2.

- Carolina is second in the ACC in rebounding (39.3) and rebound margin (+4.6), third in scoring (78.2 ppg) and seventh in scoring margin (+5.7).

- NC State continues to rank among the nation’s leaders in fewest turnovers per game. The Pack averages just 10.0 turnovers per game to rank 11th in NCAA DI.
- NC State is 19-2 this season when it has the same number or fewer turnovers than its opponent. In the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 21, NC State only turned it over eight times, but it only forced the Tar Heels into seven turnovers.
- The Pack ranks second in the ACC and 21st in NCAA DI in blocked shots per game despite not having a single player rank in the top-15 in the ACC in blocks.
- DJ Burns leads the team with 23 blocks, but Ernest Ross (22), Ebenezer Dowuona (21) and Casey Morsell (20) are right behind him.
- NC State scored 25 points off turnovers and had 19 fast break points in the win over Boston College last Saturday. Both of those marks are the best for the Pack since its win over Duke on Jan. 4.
