New Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich has been busy assembling his staff. This week the team made a splash – naming veteran coach Jim Caldwell special assistant to Reich where he will help with offense, defense and special teams.
The franchise also made official the addition of Duce Staley, who will be assistant head and running backs coach, and announced the return of offensive line coach James Campen, assistant offensive line coach Robert Kugler and special teams coach Chris Tabor.
As of Wednesday afternoon Reich has added the following coaches to his staff:
- Ejiro Evero – Defensive Coordinator
- Chris Tabor – Special Teams Coordinator
- Duce Staley – Assistant Head Coach/Running Backs
- Jim Caldwell – Special Assistant
- Dom Capers – Senior Defensive Assistant
- James Capen – Offensive Line
- Park Frazier – Passing Game Coordinator
- Robert Kugler – Assistant Offensive Line
- Josh McCown – Quarterbacks
- Jonathan Cooley – Secondary/Cornerbacks

More staff members will be named in the coming days, including offensive coordinator – a role that many fans have heightened interest in. It has been reported that the team has interest in Rams’ assistant head coach Thomas Brown and Eagles’ quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson. There has been no confirmation of an official interview with either candidate.
