The Carolina Panthers placed Andre Roberts on injured reserve Tuesday – sidelining the veteran kick and punt returner for at least four weeks. Roberts injured his knee during the Panthers’ week-one loss to the Browns. After the game Rhule said the injury seemed significant, despite Roberts being able to finish the contest.
With their go-to kick returner unavailable, expect the Panthers to use a combination of Shi Smith, Chuba Hubbard and new-comer Laviska Shenault to fill the void.
