Carolina Panthers It Happens: Panthers Talk Fight with Patriots During Joint Practice (Video) Wednesday morning, the joint practice between the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots had to be paused after a fight between the two teams spilled into the stands. The scuffle happened after Christian McCaffrey took exception with Pats defender Deatrich Wise hitting him while he was running out of bounds. McCaffrey threw the ball at Wise and then both teams went at it. A couple of guys from both teams were escorted from practice including, Wise, Kenny Robinson (who had to leave practice Tuesday for the same thing) and Chuba Hubbard. Although Christian, Baker Mayfield and Matt Rhule admitted fights happen during many joint practices, they noted that it limits the reps needed to improve. After the fight, Rhule informed the team that if there was another incident, joint practice would be over. There weren’t anymore fights after that. August 17, 2022
