All the hype coming into Panthers’ training camp has been about the competition between Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but quarterback isn’t the only position fans should keep their eye on. We asked general manager Scott Fitterer, ahead of the team’s first practice, where he’ll be focusing his attention outside of the signal caller and he immediately mentioned offensive line – where the Panthers have more talent than they have in recent history.
“It’s funny, Ben McAdoo came in this morning and was talking about offensive line. What’s the lineup going to be? It’s going to be a tough cut. When you get to those 8th and 9th linemen, we’re cutting good players. A lot of those guys can start and play for us.”
Fitterer also mentioned tight end, running back, receiver and linebacker as positions that will battle during camp.
