What Terquavion Smith’s Return Means for Wolfpack

Two words popped up at the end of a video of Terquavion Smith talking about his final decision…”I’m Back.”

“I’ve decided to play next season for NC State, the first team to offer me a scholarship,” said Smith. The decision is news to Wolfpack fans and maybe a surprise to some.

Smith rose up draft boards after an impressive showing during the NBA Combine held in Chicago. Most teams have him a sure first-round pick, but Smith said he wants to be a college student for one more season.

The Wolfpack will definitely need his play from last year with a new-look roster with transfers out and in. Smith was named to the ACC All-Rookie Team while also being named an all-conference honorable mention after averaging 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Smith also led the ACC in three-pointers with 96.
