Time to cop those Ickey jerseys.
The Panthers have released what numbers the 2022 rookie class will rock when they take the field for rookie minicamp Friday.
1st round draft pick Ikem Ekwonu will wear number 79, a number he’s worn since his high school days at Providence Day. 3rd rounder Matt Corral wore number two in high school and college, but that number has already been claimed by wide receiver DJ Moore, so the rookie QB will wear number nine. Brandon Smith will be the first Panthers’ linebacker to wear #40.
