If Raina Perez needed any more help to become Wolfpack legend, she added what was needed willing to NC State to a 66-63 comeback win over Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 Saturday.
Down one point with under 20 seconds left, Perez came away with a steal and fast break layup to put NC State ahead by one. After an ND miss, she then collected the rebound and iced the game with two free throws with 1.6 remaining sending the Wolfpack to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1998.
NC State will not await the winner of UConn/Indiana.
