The Panthers are keeping a captain. Veteran cornerback Donte Jackson and the team agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to the teamβs website. The terms of the deal have not been released.

Before his season was sidelined by injury last year, Jackson tied for the team lead with two interceptions, and had a team-high 10 passes defensed, and a forced fumble.
