Reportedly, the Panthers have been courting Deshaun Watson since he said he was done with the Texans, with the biggest push coming in the last week after it was announced that criminal charges will not be pursued against the Houston quarterback. Ultimately, Watson decided not to come to Carolina and will soon announce a decision to go a division rival, Atlanta or New Orleans.
Carolina fans have been extremely divided about the team’s decision to enter the running to trade for Watson, so when new was released that he informed Carolina they were no longer in the running, reactions were equally split. Here’s what Panthers’ Twitter had to say:
