Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule announced Wednesday that quarterback Sam Darnold will start Sunday versus New Orleans. Rhule added that Cam Newton is working hard and will be available if needed.
When asked what went behind the decision Rhule said Sam did “some good things” in last week’s loss to the Buccaneers. Darnold finished the game completing 15 of 32 passes for 190 yards.
