The Panthers announced Saturday that they have added defensive tackle Derrick Brown to the reserve/Covid-19 list. He won’t be available when Carolina plays the Bills. He’s the third player added this week (Christian McCaffrey and Matt Barkley).

Players who are vaccinated are eligible to return as soon as they have two negative tests with 24 hours between them, as long as they remain asymptomatic.

With Brown out, the Panthers will rely on just three tackles (Daquan Jones, Bravvion Roy and Phil Hoskins) this week versus Buffalo. Hoskins, who was drafted in the seventh round (232nd overall) by Carolina in the 2021 NFL Draft, has looked solid in the two games he’s played in this season. Against the Dolphins he had two tackles and a sack.
