Wolfpack to Host Wildcats In Annual Heritage Game

The NC State Wolfpack will host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats Thursday night in the annual Heritage Game held at Reynolds Coliseum.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and can be seen on Regional Sports Networks with Bally Sports South.

The Heritage Game is a game NC State plays annually where the men’s team hosts a game in historic Reynolds Coliseum, the previous home of the team. NC State will honor the 1970 ACC Championship team at halftime of Thursday’s game.

NC State (6-2) will look to return to the win column after dropping their ACC opener against Louisville, 73-68, last Saturday. After trailing by as many as 14, the Wolfpack held a late five-point lead. The Cardinals ended the game on a 9-0 run to escape PNC Arena with the ACC win. It was still a successful week for the Wolfpack, including their quadruple overtime victory of Nebraska Wednesday night in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge on top of the Wolfpack earning both ACC Player and Freshman of the week with Dereon Seabron and Terquavion Smith earning the honors.

Bethune-Cookman (1-7) heads to Raleigh currently on a four-game losing skid, most recently falling to UCF 81-45. The Wildcats are led on offense by sophomore guard Joe French who was recently named SWAC Player of the Week after scoring 25 points against Liberty and 30 points against 21st-ranked Seton Hall.

The Wildcats are coached by former NBA player Reggie Theus, who also serves as athletic director.
