The Panthers have relieved offensive coordinator Joe Brady of his duties per the team’s website.

“I met with Joe this morning and informed him that I have decided to make a change,” said Rhule. “I’m very grateful to him for his time and effort in helping us get established over this past year and a half.”

The Panthers’ offense has struggled to find consistency under Brady’s play calling and with the way the team stumbled into the bye week a change had to be made.

Carolina is currently ranked 28th out of 32 team in total offense. Jeff Nixon will take over the play-calling duties for the Panthers.  He was the co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach for the Baylor Bears under Matt Rhule and has served as the Panthers’ running backs coach since 2020.
