McCaffrey Makes History
- RB Christian McCaffrey became the fastest player to reach 3,000 rushing yards and 3,000 receiving yards in NFL history (57 career games). Since entering the NFL in 2017, he has amassed 3,552 rushing yards and 3,015 receiving yards.
- McCaffrey led the team with 59 rushing yards and 60 receiving yards today.
- His performance marked the 32nd game of his career with 100+ yards from scrimmage.
Cam’s First Start
- In his first start of the season, QB Cam Newton posted his 44th career game with at least one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown, an NFL record.
- Newton finished the game with 189 passing yards and two touchdowns, while completing 21-of-27 attempts (77.8%).
- He added 46 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground on 10 attempts.
Sacks
- OLB Haason Reddick tallied one sack today, bringing his season total to 10.5 sacks, most in the NFC and tied for 3rd in the NFL. Reddick became the ninth player in Panthers history to collect 10 or more sacks in a season.
- DE Brian Burns notched his seventh sack of the season. Carolina and Tennessee are the only teams this season with two players who each have at least 7.0 sacks.
- DE Marquis Haynes recorded a sack for the second consecutive game. He has 3.0 sacks this season.
- Carolina’s three sacks today increased its season total to 30 sacks, 3rd most by any team this year.
Opening Drive Touchdown
- On the first drive of the game, Carolina marched 75 yards in nine plays and scored the first touchdown of the game on a 10-yard pass from QB Cam Newton to WR DJ Moore.
- The drive marked the third time this season Carolina scored a touchdown on its first possession.
- Moore’s 751 receiving yards rank ninth in the league (through Sunday’s early window of games).
Fox’s Forced Fumble
- DE Morgan Fox tallied Carolina’s lone takeaway in today’s game. In the first quarter, Fox stripped the ball loose from RB Antonio Gibson. The fumble was recovered by LB Frankie Luvu.
- Over the last four games (Weeks 8-11), the Panthers have recorded seven takeaways (four interceptions, three fumble recoveries), tied for 5th among all teams over that span.

- S Jeremy Chinn recorded a team-high 13 tackles, tied for a single-game career best. He leads Carolina with 71 tackles this season.
