Report: Mac Jones Won’t Be Suspended for “Dirty” Play on Brian Burns

Panthers linebacker Haason Reddick made it very clear after Sunday’s loss to the Patriots that he believes Mac Jones’ ankle tackle of Brian Burns, after he strip sacked the New England quarterback, was a “dirty” play.

Burns, who had to be assisted off the field, would return to action, but would leave the game for good in the 4th quarter. Monday, Matt Rhule says the promising edge rusher was scheduled to receive an MRI on his foot and the team would evaluate his status going forward.

According to a report by Tom Pelissaro, the league will review the play and possibly fine Jones, but a suspension is not expected.
